Public Safety Services

Damon security sign-in Damon City Campus is staffed with Monroe Community College Public Safety peace officers and trained guards registered through New York State.  Personnel are trained in CPR and the use of automated external defibrillators. 

MCC Public Safety are committed to providing prompt, courteous and professional services to students, faculty and staff.  Damon Campus is a closed campus for the safety of the college community. All individuals entering the campus must show a valid picture ID card to access the entrance of the fourth and fifth floors of the Damon City Campus. Students must show their College ID, visitors must show another form of picture identification.

Student ID Policy Compliance

The first week of classes each semester at DCC will be a one-week grace period when students may show a print-out of their Banner class schedule to enter the Damon City Campus. Following the one-week grace period, all students are required to show a valid MCC ID card. Any student violating the policy may be refused admission to the campus until such time as they obtain and show a valid MCC ID.

Reporting Crime

Students and employees should report any suspicious looking activity or incidents to Public Safety as soon as possible by telephone at 585-262-1414 when the campus is open, or 585-292-2911 when the campus is closed.

If a student needs to be contacted in case of an emergency, call DCC Student Services at 262-1424.


MCC Public Safety, Wilmorite Security Guards and Downtown Red Shirts can escort college community in and around the downtown campus.

Lost and found

Lost or found items can be reported or submitted to the DCC 5th floor security desk.

Assistance for students with special needs

Wheelchair assistance, and emergency response.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

AEDs are located at the 4th and 5th Floor Security Desks.
