Eligibility Criteria

• STEP students must be African American, Hispanic / Latino, Native American Indian / Alaskan Native or economically disadvantaged (according to income guidelines set by New York  State), and be able to benefit from academic enrichment. 
• STEP students must be residents of Monroe County, enrolled in grades 7-12, and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5.  (A probationary period can be established for enrolling students who do not meet academic standards.)
• STEP students must have a desire to pursue post-secondary education.  They must be committed to excelling academically and to personal development.
• STEP students must be willing to participate in program activities and contribute to their own success.
