Description: |  | An introduction to and survey of the principles and process control applications of digital logic elements, Boolean algebra, binary arithmetic, digital computers, and digital computer interface hardware. Mini- and micro-computer internal organization and digital handling techniques are emphasized. Digital computer control of simple basic processes will be investigated. Also an introduction to programmable controllers and their use in process control will be covered. Three class hours, four laboratory hours. |
