Optical and electro-optical instrument phenomena: radiometry, spectrophotommetry detector characteristics, blackbody radiation, light sources and their spectra, electronic instrument use, electronic device specifications, fiber optics and fiber optic systems. Spring semester only. Three class hours, four laboratory hours.
