What
academic background do I need to enroll in an MCC career program?
You should have a solid understanding of basic high-school
math. If you need to improve your math skills, MCC offers courses that
can quickly bring you up to speed.
Is financial aid available?
Yes. To see if you are eligible, please call our
Financial Aid office at (585) 292-2050.
Do I have the option of taking classes on a full
or part-time basis?
Yes. Most courses are available both during the
day and in the evening. The majority of our career programs can be completed
within two years on a full-time basis; however, many working adults find
our programs the perfect way to continue their education on a part-time
basis.
Are there jobs available
when I finish my studies?
Yes. In Monroe County alone there are hundreds of
jobs that go unfilled each year due to the lack of qualified applicants.
The number of skilled workers reaching retirement age continues to grow
each year, making the skills you will obtain more marketable than at any
other time in history. Also, as technology advances, new and greater opportunities
continue to expand throughout the world.
Will employers pay for
my education? Many employers throughout our area support
the efforts of their employees attending MCC Career Programs. If you are
currently working, simply ask your employer if they offer continuing education
benefits.
