Watch as our 3D printer builds a working adjustable wrench from a CAD drawing generated in SolidWorks design software. The printer a Dimension 1200es SST is manufactured by Stratasys Inc. and was purchased with funding provided by a Perkins IV Technical Education Grant.

Students in our Mechanical Technology program will benefit from the rapid prototyping capabilities that the printer offers, allowing them to take parts from the design stage to finished product very quickly.

Students who want to learn more about the 3D printer and its capabilities, or want to see the printer in action as it builds student-designed parts, can contact Matt Fetzner in the Mechanical Technology program at Ext. 2699.
