How do I apply for EOP?
- Complete
an MCC Application for Admission (mail-in or web-based).
Check the appropriate box to indicate your interest in EOP and/or contact
the EOP Office at eopoffice.monroecc.edu.
You can get an application form and other information you need about
MCC and its programs from the Admissions Office.
- If
you are a high school graduate or a GED recipient, please forward an
official copy of the high school transcript or official GED scores to
the MCC Admissions Office.
- Complete
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Express
Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Form. Be sure to make copies of
all of these forms before mailing. Applications can be filed on-line
at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
If you need assistance, you may contact the EOP Office or the Financial
Aid Office. Keep in mind that it takes several weeks for financial
aid to be approved, so be sure to submit your forms at least three months
before you plan to start college.
- If
you are academically eligible for EOP, MCC’s Office of Admissions will
let you know and the EOP director will contact you. (Students accepted
to Monroe Community College are not automatically accepted to EOP.)
- The
EOP Office will send you an EOP application packet form and other papers
asking for financial information as well as an announcement of an EOP
Informational Session. In some instances, a personal interview may also
be required. If you want to be an EOP student, you must attend the informational
session and the personal interview, if requested. Informational sessions
are offered throughout the year.
- You
must return the completed EOP application, along with two recommendations
and proof of your income for the preceding tax year. For example, if
you are applying for admission in 2009-2010, you must provide proof
of your 2008 taxable and non-taxable income (such as a copy of your
income tax form). You may also be asked to provide proof of your parents’
income.
- If
you meet all academic and financial guidelines set by MCC and the State,
and show that you are committed to academic success, you may be accepted
as an EOP student.
- All
applicants to EOP receive a letter of acceptance or denial.
- All
applications are processed at the Brighton Campus.
Deadlines
for EOP Admissions:
Spring 2010:
Friday, October 16, 2009
Fall 2010:
Friday, May 28, 2010
Please note: EOP
Admissions deadline is subject to change contingent upon the number of
EOP applications received each semester.
Remember,
there are a limited number of openings in EOP. Please start your application
process early. Students who have completed all of the application steps
will be the first considered for acceptance.
