Customer Service Guidelines

MCC / ETS
Customer Service Principles: ARCH

The Educational Technologies Division at MCC recognizes the value of its customers and takes great pride in developing and maintaining mutually beneficial working relationships. ETS has developed four main principles by which its members should model and demonstrate to the MCC community.

APPRECIATE
CUSTOMERS AND STAFF
*

Value the uniqueness of each customer.

"Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others."
— Cicero

RESPECT
CUSTOMERS AND STAFF
*

Regard each customer the way you want to be treated.

"Life is not so short but that there is always time enough for courtesy."
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

COMMUNICATION
CUSTOMERS AND STAFF
*

Communication empowers the customer and promotes understanding.

“The most important thing in communication is to hear what isn’t being said.”
— Peter F. Drucker

HELP
ETS POLICIES / PROCESS / PROCEDURES
*

Effectively helping our customers comes from our own sense of values.

“The best place to find a helping hand is at the end of your own arm.”
— Swedish Proverb
