Check Your Aid

Once you have completed your financial aid application, the application process takes a bit of time and goes through two different phases.

The first or initial processing phase is conducted by the federal government for the FAFSA and New York State for the TAP application.

  • To check the status of your FAFSA or make corrections to your FAFSA you need to go to www.fafsa.ed.gov. You will need your federal PIN to access your FAFSA. If you have forgotten or misplaced your federal PIN, you can request a new one at www.pin.ed.gov.
  • To check the status of your TAP application or make corrections, you need to go to www.hesc.org. You will need your TAP or HESC PIN to access your TAP application.

The second processing phase is conducted by the MCC Financial Aid Office, once we have received the data from your FAFSA. At this point we will request any required additional information that is need to complete your financial aid application.

  • To check the status of your application at MCC and accept any financial aid awards that have been offered to you, you can log into the MCC Banner Student Self-Service System. You will need your MCC Student ID number and MCC PIN to access your information.
