Students who plan to live in the MCC Residence Halls need to apply for financial aid prior to March 15th to insure that financial aid can be credited to their housing charges. Students who do not plan to attend live in the MCC Residence Halls are not required to apply for financial aid prior to March 15th, however they are strongly encouraged to file the following applications as soon as possible prior to the start of the semester in which they plan to enroll.

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Renewal FAFSA. This application can be filed online at: .

  • New York State TAP Application can be accessed online directly from the FAFSA Submission page when you file your FAFSA via "FAFSA On The Web", or from the NYS Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) webpage approximately 3 days after filing a FAFSA.
  • MCC Scholarships can be applied for from March to July, prior to each school year. Visit the "MCC Scholarships" page to review all the scholarships available at Monroe Community College.

Additionally, please note that students who wish to use financial aid to cover their tuition bill for a semester need to have their financial aid results prior to the tuition bill due date for that semester. Tuition bills are typically due one month prior to the start of a semester.

Students should also be aware that the federal and state aid applications must be filed and all required documentation must be submitted by the last day of their enrollment in order to receive financial aid for that award period.
