The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) is a grant program financed by New York State that provides assistance for eligible full-time and part-time students enrolled in approved undergraduate studies. Awards at Monroe Community College range from $250 to $2700 per year. A TAP award cannot exceed tuition charges for any enrollment term.

Students and families will initiate the TAP application process by completing and filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
To check on the status of a TAP application, students check online using the Higher Education Service Corporation's web site or by calling HESC at 1-888-NYS-HESC.
