CABThe Monroe Community College Foundation, in partnership with the Campus Activities Board, has planned a variety of events for MCC alumni, students, family and friends.  All events will be held at the Brighton Campus unless otherwise indicated.  Download your Alumni Week and Homecoming Reservation Form or register online!  All events are located at the Brighton Campus unless otherwise noted.

Luncheon and Golf Classic Honoring Dr. Jeffrey P. Bartkovich
Date:  Thursday, August 13
Time:  12 noon arrival, 12:30 pm luncheon and program; 2:00 pm tee-off Location:  Eagle Vale Golf Club, 4344 Nine Mile Point Road, Fairport, NY Tickets:  Luncheon only tickets $40.  Golf and luncheon tickets $65.  Tickets include a $25 tax-deductible donation. 

Join us for lunch, golf or both as we honor Jeff Bartkovich, interim provost and vice president of Academic Services and celebrate his 24 years of service with MCC.  This luncheon will provide colleagues, family and friends an opportunity to celebrate Jeff’s time-honored career while supporting the Educational Technology Services Endowed Scholarship Fund.  Following the luncheon, Jeff will announce the start of play for nine holes of golf (scramble format) on the beautiful Eagle Vale Golf Club course.  You can register online for lunch or lunch and golf, or download the registration form.   Those unable to attend but wish to make an honorary gift may do so online by clicking here.   Please make sure to notate that your gift is in honor of Jeff.

Alumni Art Exhibit

Throughout the month of October, an alumni art exhibit will be held in the Mercer Gallery.  The art features a broad range of creative work by MCC alumni.  This exhibit is made possible courtesy of Professor Kathy Farrell and MCC’s Visual and Performing Arts department.

Damon City Campus Celebration
Date:  Wednesday, October 7
Time:  Noon – 1 pm
Location:  Damon City Campus 4th Floor Lounge
Tickets:  Free of charge
Parking:  Available in St. Joseph’s Garage

Kick off Alumni Week and Homecoming with a DCC celebration hosted by the Office of Campus Life/SEGA.  Join MCC students, faculty and staff for ice cream, cake, music and more during college hour.

MCC Spirit Day
Date:  Friday, October 9
Time:  Noon to 1 pm
Location:  Gymnasium, Stabins Physical Education Complex (Bldg. 10)
Tickets:  Free of Charge
Parking:  Lot G

Wear black and gold and show your MCC spirit at the MCC Faculty vs. Students Basketball Game.  Cheer on your favorite faculty members and our student-athletes as they compete on Monagan Court. 

Sports Hall of Fame Banquet
Date:  Friday, October 9
Time:  5:30 pm cocktails, 6:15 pm dinner

Established in 1984, the MCC Sports Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to MCC’s athletic program. Induction into the Hall of Fame is among the highest honors the college bestows.  Join the MCC family in applauding the success of this year’s inductees to the MCC Sports Hall of Fame. 

MCC Foundation 9th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships
Date:  Homecoming Day, Saturday, October 10
Time:  Check in 9:30 am; race start 11 am; fun run 11:10 am
Location:  Parking lot G for registration, check in and pre-event activities
Entry fee:  $18 by Oct. 5 / $23 thereafter; special MCC student pricing $10; free for children ages 10 and under

Fun for the entire family!  Support educational excellence and student scholarships on Homecoming morning! The course is a 3.1- mile, USATF-certified, prime scenic course around the Brighton Campus. Tailgate Party and MCC Tribunes Games
Date:  Saturday, October 10
Time:  Lunch served 11:30 am to 3 pm; awards ceremony and scholarship drawing 12:30 pm
Location:  Gymnasium, Stabins Physical Education Complex (Bldg. 10)
Tickets:  $8 per person
Parking:  Lot G

Following the race, join alumni, friends and students for a delicious hot buffet lunch.  Awards ceremony and scholarship drawing at 12:30 pm.  $5,000 in scholarships will be awarded to MCC student particpants. Stay and cheer on the MCC Tribunes as they face rivals in men’s and women’s soccer on DiMarco Field.  Luncheon sponsored by the MCC Association and Sodexo. Register now.

Housing and Residence Life Office Staff Reunion
Date:  Saturday, October 10
Location:  Residence Halls

MCC’s former residence directors and assistants from Alexander Hall, Canal Hall, Pioneer Hall and Tribune Hall will revisit campus for a first-time reunion event since the residence halls were built in 2002.   

Alumni Cooking Demonstration, Tasting and Wine Pairing
Date:  Thursday, October 15
Time:  6 to 8 pm
Location:  Room 3-140, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center (Bldg. 3)
Tickets:  $20 per person
Parking:  Lots M or N

Join Chef Gerry Brinkman and Associate Professor and Hospitality Department Chair Michelle Bartell in the kitchen for a relaxed and entertaining cooking demonstration and tasting session—complete with wine pairings presented by in-house expert David Boni!  Attendees will discuss various cooking techniques, ingredient selection, plate presentation, nutrition and menu planning.  Check back for this year’s menu!  Maximum of 25 participants.
