CABThe Monroe Community College Foundation, in partnership with the Campus Activities Board, has planned a variety of events for MCC alumni, students, family and friends. Download your Alumni Week and Homecoming Reservation Form or register online! All events are located at the Brighton Campus unless otherwise noted.

Alumni Art Exhibit
Date:  Month of October
Location: Mercer Gallery (Bldg. 12)
Tickets:  Free of charge
Parking:  Metered visitor spaces

Throughout the month of October, an alumni art exhibit will be held in the Mercer Gallery. The art features a broad range of creative work by MCC alumni. This exhibit is made possible courtesy of Professor Kathy Farrell and MCC’s Visual and Performing Arts department.

Fall Festival
Date:  Wednesday, October 5
Time:  11 am to 2 pm
Location:  Outside MCC Theatre in Lot F
Tickets:  Free of Charge for MCC Students
Parking:  Lot C, D, E

MCC students will kick off our Homecoming celebration with good food and good music at this year’s Fall Festival. Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board.

MCC Spirit Day
Date:  Friday, October 7
Time:  Noon to 1 pm
Location:  Gymnasium, Stabins Physical Education Complex (Bldg. 10)
Tickets:  Free of Charge
Parking:  Lot G

Wear black and gold and show your MCC spirit at the MCC Faculty vs. Students Basketball Game. Cheer on your favorite faculty members and our student-athletes as they compete on Monagan Court. 

Sports Hall of Fame Banquet
Date:  Friday, October 7
Time:  5:30 pm cocktails, 6:15 pm dinner
Location:  Monroe A/B, Warshof Conference Center, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center (Bldg. 3)

Established in 1984, the MCC Sports Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to MCC’s athletic program. Induction into the Hall of Fame is among the highest honors the college bestows. Join the MCC family in applauding the success of this year’s inductees to the MCC Sports Hall of Fame.

MCC Foundation 10th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships
Date:  Homecoming Day, Saturday, October 8
Time:  Check in 9:30 am; race start 11 am; fun run 11:10 am
Location:  Parking lot G for registration, check in and pre-event activities
Entry fee:  $18 by Oct. 2 / $23 thereafter; special MCC student pricing $10; free for children ages 10 and under

Fun for the entire family! Support educational excellence and student scholarships on Homecoming morning! The course is a 3.1- mile, USATF-certified, prime scenic course around the Brighton Campus. Zumba warm up, photo booth, face painting, and more!  Timing provided by PCR Timing. Commemorative T-shirt for all pre-registered participants. Visit our 5K Walk/Run page. Tailgate Party and MCC Tribunes Games
Date:  Saturday, October 8
Time:  Lunch served 11:30 am to 2 pm; awards ceremony and scholarship drawing 12:30 pm
Location:  Gymnasium, Stabins Physical Education Complex (Bldg. 10)
Tickets:  $8 per person
Parking:  Lot G

Following the race, join alumni, friends and students for a delicious hot buffet lunch. Awards ceremony and scholarship drawing at 12:30 pm. Stay and cheer on the MCC Tribunes as they face rivals in men’s and women’s soccer on DiMarco Field. Luncheon sponsored by the MCC Association and Sodexo. Register now.

ArcGlassworking Class at Arc + Flame Center of Rochester
Date:  Friday, October 14
Time:  6 – 9 pm
Location:  125 Fed Ex Way
Tickets:  $45
Parking:  Onsite parking is available.

Let your creativity flow at the Arc + Flame Center of Rochester, owned by MCC alumnus Michael Krupnicki ’85.  Make it a date night or come with friends or family.  Choose either Glass Fusing or Glass Flameworking class.  Visit for more information.

Glass Fusing
Glass fusing involves cutting and arranging flat pieces of cold, colored glass into a pattern or design. From here, the project is put in a kiln where the glassisfused together as one piece.In this class, students will make decorative plates. Projects will be ready for pickup in 1-2 weeks after class.  Adults ages 14 and up.  Class size is limited to 10. Register now.

Glass Flameworking
Have you ever wanted to create your own glass art? Come try it out at one of our Sampler classes! Arc + Flame provides a welcome environment to learn glass flameworking from professional instructors.  No experience is necessary and all materials and safety equipment are included in the price. Each student will also create and keep 2-3 glass projects that could include pendants, paperweights or small figurines.  Adults ages 14 and up.  Class size is limited to 10. Register now.

CrepeCrepExperience at Simply Crêpes
Date:  Saturday, October 15
Time:  11:30 am – 1:30 pm
Location:  101 South Main Street, Historic Downtown Canandaigua
Tickets:  $50 (includes a $25 charitable donation)
Parking:  Available in rear of building and on street

New for 2016 is a crêpe making demonstration and three-course brunch at Simply Crepes in Canandaigua, owned by MCC alumni Karen, Pierre and Nicole Héroux. The Héroux family sources fresh, local ingredients to use in their recipes made from scratch in their kitchen. Your “CrepExperience” will include a three-course brunch, a lesson on the history of crêpes and a crêpe-making demonstration. Our hosts are MCC alumni Karen ’81, Pierre ’78 and Nicole Héroux, the owners of Simply Crêpes.

Breakfast Crêpe of whisked eggs, NYS cheddar, choice of Bostrom Farms Maple Sausage, Spicy Andouille Sausage or Smoked Apple Wood Bacon

The brunch will begin at 11:30 am. Tickets are $50 per person and include a $25 charitable donation. Limit 50 participants. Register now.
