CABThe Monroe Community College Foundation, in partnership with the Campus Activities Board, has planned a variety of events for MCC alumni, students, family and friends.  All events will be held at the Brighton Campus unless otherwise indicated.  Download your Alumni Week and Homecoming Reservation Form or register online!  All events are located at the Brighton Campus unless otherwise noted.

Alumni Art Exhibit
Date:  October 7 - November 6
Location: Mercer Gallery (Bldg. 12)
Tickets:  Free of charge
Parking:  Metered visitor spaces

The art features a broad range of creative work by MCC alumni David Jung '92, Karen Matzke-Gallegos, Florencia Decurgez, Jack Hellaby '96, Matte Baxendell '85, Mark Stevens and Jeremy Sawyer. There will be an Artist Lecture and Reception from 2 - 4 pm on Saturday, October 10.  This exhibit is made possible courtesy of Professor Kathy Farrell and MCC’s Visual and Performing Arts department.

Damon City Campus Celebration
Date:  Wednesday, October 7
Time:  Noon – 1 pm
Location:  Damon City Campus 4th Floor Lounge

Parking:  Available in St. Joseph’s Garage

Kick off Alumni Week and Homecoming with a DCC celebration hosted by the Office of Campus Life/SEGA.  Join MCC students, faculty and staff for ice cream, cake, music and more during college hour.

Homecoming Fall Festival
Date:  Wednesday, October 7
Time:  10 am – 2 pm
Location:  Outside MCC Theatre in Lot F
Tickets:  Free of charge for current MCC students with valid ID
Parking:  Lots C, D, E

Have an awesome time at the Homecoming 80's inspired fall festival. Games! Food! And much more! Alumni, students, faculty and staff, family and friends will delight in the sights, sounds and aromas surrounding the Homecoming Fall Festival. Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board and Student Life fee.

MCC Spirit Day
Date:  Friday, October 9
Time:  Noon to 1 pm
Location:  Gymnasium, Stabins Physical Education Complex (Bldg. 10)
Tickets:  Free of Charge
Parking:  Lot G

Wear black and gold and show your MCC spirit at the MCC Faculty vs. Students Basketball Game.  Cheer on your favorite faculty members and our student-athletes as they compete on Monagan Court. 

Sports Hall of Fame Banquet
Date:  Friday, October 9
Time:  5:30 pm cocktails, 6:15 pm dinner
Location:  Monroe A/B, Warshof Conference Center, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center (Bldg. 3)

Established in 1984, the MCC Sports Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to MCC’s athletic program. Induction into the Hall of Fame is among the highest honors the college bestows.  Join the MCC family in applauding the success of this year’s inductees to the MCC Sports Hall of Fame. 

MCC Foundation 9th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships
Date:  Homecoming Day, Saturday, October 10
Time:  Check in 9:30 am; race start 11 am; fun run 11:10 am
Location:  Parking lot G for registration, check in and pre-event activities
Entry fee:  $18 by Oct. 5 / $23 thereafter; special MCC student pricing $10; free for children ages 10 and under

Fun for the entire family!  Support educational excellence and student scholarships on Homecoming morning! The course is a 3.1- mile, USATF-certified, prime scenic course around the Brighton Campus. Tailgate Party and MCC Tribunes Games
Date:  Saturday, October 10
Time:  Lunch served 11:30 am to 3 pm; awards ceremony and scholarship drawing 12:30 pm
Location:  Gymnasium, Stabins Physical Education Complex (Bldg. 10)
Tickets:  $8 per person
Parking:  Lot G

Following the race, join alumni, friends and students for a delicious hot buffet lunch.  Awards ceremony and scholarship drawing at 12:30 pm.  $5,000 in scholarships will be awarded to MCC student particpants. Stay and cheer on the MCC Tribunes as they face rivals in men’s and women’s soccer on DiMarco Field.  Luncheon sponsored by the MCC Association and Sodexo. Register now.

Alumni Cooking Demonstration, Tasting and Wine Pairing
Date:  Thursday, October 15 sold out
Time:  6 to 8 pm
Location:  Room 3-140
Tickets:  $20 per person
Parking:  Lots M or N

Join Chef Gerry Brinkman and Associate Professor and Hospitality Department Chair Michelle Bartell in the kitchen for a relaxed and entertaining cooking demonstration and tasting session—complete with wine pairings presented by in-house expert David Boni!  Attendees will discuss various cooking techniques, ingredient selection, plate presentation, nutrition and menu planning.  Check back for this year’s menu!  Maximum of 25 participants.
