Peer Mentors

In the Peer Assistant Resource Center (PARC) you will find a very diverse population of student leaders called Peer Mentors. We want to help you make your transition and experience at MCC more purposeful and successful. We have Peer Mentors from all over the world, including South Africa, India and Mongolia. Our Peer Mentors also range in age from 18 years old to over 50 years old. Some have Bachelor's degrees from other institutions and experiences working in the "real world".

We have Peer Mentors that are both part-time and full-time students, commuter and residential students, student athletes and non-athletes. However you identify as a student, we most likely have a Peer Mentor that you can identify with. These students are trained to assist you in your transition through your academic career at MCC. They can provide you with support and encouragement or they can help you learn specific skills that will help you become a more successful student.

The Peer Mentors will present numerous programs, such as social activities to meet new friends, time management, and other programs that address issues that affect your everyday lives. These programs will be presented by Peer Mentors who have faced or have had a similar incident in their lives as the topic of their presentation. Come learn from your peers on how they handle issues that you may be facing, as you progress through your academic journey.
