CREDITS - Are referred to as "Quality Hours" or quality credit hours
QUALITY POINTS - The figure obtained by multiplying a course's credit hours by numerical value of the grade assigned. The numerical value of grades is:
|B+ = 3.3||C+ = 2.3||D+ = 1.3|
|A = 4.0||B = 3.0||C = 2.0||D = 1.0|
|A- = 3.7||B- = 2.7||C- = 1.7||D- = 0.7|
*NOTE: Grades of I, AU, W, WI and R have neither credit nor quality points assigned.
SEMESTER GPA - Calculate only for credit courses completed during the semester with grades of A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D, D-, or F as follows:

4. Divide the current quality points by the current quality hours.
|Course||Quality Hours||Grade||Quality Point Value||Total Quality Points|
|ENG||101||3||F||0||(3 X 0.0)||= 0.0|
|GEO||101||4||C-||1.7||(4 X 1.7)||= 6.8|
|HIS||103||3||B||3||(3 X 3.0)||= 9.0|
|MAT||170||3||D+||1.3||(3 X 1.3)||= 3.9|
|PE||101||2||A||4||(2 X 4.0)||= 8.0|
|27.7 / 15 = 1 . 846 CURRENT GPA|
*NOTE: The "I" grade is not used computation of GPA. This computation is for one semester only.
