A cornerstone of the Honors Institute at Monroe Community College is its unique “knowledge-track” system – a revolving set of topical and intellectually provocative curriculum programs that are designed by award-winning honors faculty to provide an exceptional foundation for academic transfer and life-long learning and discovery.
Starting in Fall 2008, new knowledge tracks will be offered every year that delve deeply into an important contemporary academic theme, interest, or topic. Honors students will join other students and faculty in a knowledge-track of their choice, and will remain together with these students and faculty through four semesters, building connections and enriching each other throughout their academic programs – even though the individual students may matriculate into different degree programs.
Track A – Science & Humanities
Track B – Women’s Studies
Track C – Damon Honors Community
Track D – Honors Studies
