Track D – Honors Studies

Not sure who you want to be when you “grow up’? Can’t decide between writing the great American novel and finding the cure for cancer? The Honors Studies knowledge-track allows YOU to design YOUR OWN honors certificate program to fit your individual interests and educational goals.

The Honors Studies knowledge-track at MCC’s Honors Institute is designed primarily for students who are self-starters and who enjoy reasoning and communicating across academic topics and disciplines, and who want to work with others in a challenging and stimulating environment.

Student members of the Honors Studies track must complete the same certificate requirements as the other knowledge-tracks, but the required honors courses and community service projects are selected by the students themselves in consultation with their faculty mentor and the Institute’s coordinator.

The Honors Studies certificate option is most suitable for MCC students who enter the Honors Institute sometime after their first semester.
