Conference Content

The SAM course builds on a variety of approaches (verbal, nonverbal and physical) involving students and staff alike in the event of a threatening or potentially violent situation. This couse is intended to instruct participants to be proactive concerning the health and safety of others in their workplace and school environment. SAM I will consist of lecture and demonstration and SAM II will consist of lecture and a hands on component (SAM I is the prerequisite).

Some topics include

• SAM will provide participants with proper tools and knowledge to effectively address aggressive behavior and/or violent situations.
• Improve learning environment for all with more safety strategies and less fear.
• Provide proven strategies and techniques that can be used immediately.

1. SAM I – 10:00am to Noon - Registration fee $49.00
2. SAM II – 1:00pm to 3:00pm - Registration fee $69.00,
   which includes the prerequisite of SAM I.

This course is intended for school offficials, administrators, teachers, parents, school resource officers, guidance counselors, school psychologist, faith based organizations, and anyone who might deal with agitated, angry or potentially individuals.
