Introduction: What is a Microsoft Access Database?
An Access database is a software tool to help you “electronically”
keep track of information. Once the data is entered into a database system,
you will be able to quickly “Access” the information you need
for reporting and analysis. That must be why Microsoft named their database
software tool Access!
Any filing cabinet or collection of information you maintain is a database
waiting to happen. Once the “paper” information is entered
into electronic format within a database, you will be able to research
and pull out the information you need more efficiently than manually going
through all the paper to find what you need!
