Faculty Innovation Centers

What are the Faculty Innovation Centers?
The Faculty Innovation Centers provide users with the technology, resources, and support to meet their development needs.

These facilities are equipped with high-end computers and peripherals (scanners, color printers, CD burners, digital cameras, etc.) and are available to faculty and staff. The centers are staffed on a regular basis to provide users with one-to-one assistance and training. The FICs also provide a quiet environment to access self-paced computer training programs.

Where are the FICs?

Brighton Campus: The Brighton Faculty Innovation Center is located in room 3-153A, which you'll find by entering the 3-150 Instructional Technologies office area, and turning left immediately after you pass our Front Desk. This map shows you where the 3-150 office area is located on the Brighton Campus.

Damon City Campus: To go to the Damon Faculty Innovation Center, come to the Damon Library on the 4th floor, go straight through the Library into the Damon Electronic Learning Center, and follow the hanging signs to the Damon Faculty Innovation Center in room 4088. See where the Electronic Learning Center and Faculty Innovation Center are located on the Damon City Campus.

Training and troubleshooting
The FICs are staffed on a regular basis with technology consultants who can assist users with technology issues and help them with their projects. It is recommended that you call the facilities to verify the technology consultant's availability or to schedule an appointment.

Technology support is also available through the ETS Help Line at xHELP or x4357.

When are the FICs available?

Brighton: The Brighton FIC is available at the same times that the Instructional Technologies offices in 3-150 are open, which are Monday-Friday 7am-4:45pm. Occasionally, room 3-153A is also used for Training Sessions and meetings: for times when it is not available, there are 2 work stations located right outside the door to 3-153A.

Damon: The Damon FIC is open the same hours as the Damon Electronic Learning Center. Click here to see a schedule of hours for the Damon Electronic Learning Center.
