Skunk Hour


Skunk Hour, a Creative Reading Series originated by Barbara Lovenheim and Tony Leuzzi and sponsored by the English/Philosophy Department, is now officially part of the College-Wide Creative Arts Committee Activities. This reading series showcases the creative and academic talents of faculty and staff on the Damon and Brighton campuses, skunk with bookand provides the College-wide community of students, faculty, and staff, with a simple but effective venue for bringing commitment, vitality, and visibility to the arts. The title, "Skunk Hour" comes from a Robert Lowell poem of the same name.

Since its debut in September 1999, Skunk Hour has featured an impressive range of readers from throughout the campus, including members of English, Philosophy, Counseling, Math, Visual and Performing Arts, the Social Sciences, Business Administration, Transitional Studies, and The Writing Center.
