  • 7 Step Career Decision Making Model - From Colorado College's Career Center, a series of questions to help in choosing a career path or deciding about a job offer.

  • Career Development eManual - Check out the "Where Do I Start?" and "Steps to Success" sections on this site to locate information on Self Assessment, Career-Decision Making, Networks & Contacts, and Life/Work Planning.

  • The Career Key - A free interactive career inventory test offered on the Internet and developed by Dr. Lawrence K. Jones, Professor in the College of Education at North Carolina State University.

  • The Career Interests Game© - Learn more about your interests and the world of work through this exercise which is based on Dr. John Holland's theory of categorizing work into the following six different groups: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional.

  • FOCUS: Career and Educational Planning System - FOCUS is an online  career guidance tool that will assist you in self-assessment and career exploration. If you are a new user, follow the instructions posted on the FOCUS welcome page for creating an account.  You need to create an account (which consists of a User Name and Password) in order to be able to logon to use the FOCUS program.

  • JobStar Central - Sponsored by the Bay Area Library & Information System (BALIS) in California, this site provides links to other websites providing detailed information on a wide variety of careers.

  • Career Profiles and Career Forum Videos - View online videos of MCC's Career Forums where you can hear professionals speak about and answer questions regarding their experiences in their respective fields, and visit the links to additional career sites through MCC's Career Center Office.

  • MCC's Counseling and Testing Center - Check out the Career Exploration section on MCC's Counseling and Advising Center web page for more career links.
