in Menu Planning, and Restaurant Menu Design covered in the FSA 107 Menu Planning
course. Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy

Hospitality, Tourism, & Golf Management Research Guide

Nutrition.Gov - A comprehensive site which provides access to a
wide range of information on the following topics: food pyramid, food

Nutrient Data Laboratory - Provides information on food
composition through the online USDA Nutrient Database for Standard
Reference (Release 20), includes links to Measurement Conversion
tables, and Reports on Individual Nutrient Value in Foods.

Nutrition Data Analysis Tool (NAT) - A
web based computer program
developed by the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the
University of Illinois, Urbana-Campaign, which gives you the ability
to analyze foods eaten for various nutrients.

Select a location from the "Featured Areas" category to access links to
restaurants and their online menus.

Restaurants of North America (DiRoNA) - To locate links to
restaurant menus use the "enter name of the restaurant" search box or
the "enter city name" and "state" drop-down boxes then press the "Go"
button.

Digital Menu Collection -
The Los Angeles Public Library offers this database of restaurant
menus and images which is searchable by keyword, restaurant, cuisine &
date. Many of the menus are available for you to view online and print.

Rare Menu Collection
- A selection of menus from 1851 through 1943 made available online
courtesy of the School of Hotel Administration, Cornell
University.

The Menu Collection of the New York Public Library - A collection of
images of over 5,000 menus ranging from 1851 through 1930. The
collection is strongest for the period between 1890 and 1910.
Organization is primarily chronological by date or range of dates.

link. If you are off-campus, first click the "Connect to EZProxy" button
then follow directions to log-in.Research TIP: Reviews of
local restaurants appear in the D&C newspaper in the "Review Roundup"
column. To find
these restaurant reviews in the D&C article database type "restaurant reviews and
review roundup" in the search box, then click the
"Search" button. A list of full-text restaurant reviews will appear in
your search results list for you to read and print out.
