Monroe
Community College’s LeRoy V. Good Library is thrilled to present
Reading Between the Lines, a book discussion program sponsored by
the New York Council for the Humanities. Through the discussion of four
works encompassing the theme Rethinking Religion: Recent Women’s
Novels and American Identity, the participants will examine the
diverse voices of the female spiritual experience. Each discussion will
be introduced by a short lecture and facilitated by local literature
scholar Dr. Barbara Lovenheim.
Reading Between the Lines is a community-wide program and is open
to all members of the public, free of charge. In order to gain the most
from the themed discussions, it is expected that participants will
attend the entire series. Preregistration for the program is required,
as space is limited. Please RSVP to Lori Annesi at 585-292-2338 or
lannesi@monroecc.edu.
Participants will be provided with details on acquiring copies of the
book at that time.
The discussion books are Paradise,
Final Payments,
Paradise Park, and
Ceremony.
