| FAQs - Frequently
Asked Questions

What do I need to check out a book
or other library material?
An MCC ID card or another form of valid photo identification.
Does the Library carry the textbook
for my class?
Since textbooks are so expensive, it would be impossible for the Library
to purchase the textbook for every course the college offers. However,
in some cases, Professors provide us with a copy of their course textbook
so that we can place it on reserve at the Circulation/Reserve Desk.
Students can then check the item out for the loan period specified by
their Instructor (usually one or two hours).
Can I check out periodicals (magazines,
journals or newspapers)?
Periodicals stay in the library but feel free to make copies of the
pages you need using one of our photocopiers. Copies are .10 cents a
page.
Do I have to sign up (or have an I.D.)
to use the computer?
You have to be an MCC student in order to use Library
computers. As an student you must sign on to the Library computers with
your student e-mail address and password. If you are in the process of
registering for classes and do not have your student e-mail address and password, ask a librarian on duty for assistance. |
