The Best Three Ways to
Search
Subject Guide Search - Browse listings
of subjects, people,
etc. on your chosen topic. It is also helpful in
gaining a grasp
of the different variations of the subject.
Keyword Search - Searches for a word or words in an
article's abstract, title, or contents. Be sure to spell correctly.
Remember that
only 60% of the material in these databases
is
full-text.
Advanced Search - Offers
the ability to select a specific
field to search: abstract, author, content, keyword, subject.

Tips for Searching and Downloading
- If you are trying to find a subject or narrow
a subject, go to "Subject Guide." It has extensive subject lists.
- If you are having trouble with too many "hits"
try being more specific in your search. (For Example, Oak Tree vs. Tree)
- If you are having trouble with too few
"hits" try broadening your subject.
(For Example, Poultry vs. Chicken)
- If you are not receiving ANY hits, check
your spelling. Remember that database is searching for the exact
word(s) you typed in.
- Either scroll to the bottom of the page or
use the navigation bar on the left for information on printing /
e-mailing / saving to disk.
