The Leisure-Reading Collection


What is it?

The Leisure Reading Collection (also known as 'The McNaughton Collection') is an ever-changing selection of current bestsellers and popular books made available to the MCC community by the Leroy V. Good and DCC Libraries. The books are leased by the library from the McNaughton Company in Williamsport, PA and are either returned to them when demand dwindles, or, for titles that prove especially popular and relevant to the collection, purchased outright by the libraries for as low as $2 a book!  These books are selected by the libraries from a monthly list prior to publication, ensuring that titles destined for the best-seller lists will be available immediately upon publication!

The latest fiction by authors like King, Koontz, Karon and others, as well as the latest in self-help and nonfiction titles can be found in the Leisure Reading Collection.

Where is it?

The Leisure Reading Collection is located on the main floor of the LVG library, just past the elevator in the right-hand hall. At the DCC library, it's located near the Reference collection.

To search for titles using the library's online catalog, select 'Document Type' and type in the word 'Leisure.' This will bring up an entire listing of currently available titles.
