The Middle States Commission on Higher Education follows a 10-year cycle of review, beginning with a Self-Study and on-site evaluation visit, and followed by a Periodic Review Report five years later. Monroe Community College’s accreditation was last reaffirmed in June 2006. In preparation for the evaluation, the College conducted a comprehensive assessment and analysis of its mission, goals and objectives within the context of the fourteen accreditation standards set forth by Middle States.
MCC submitted their Periodic Review Report to the evaluators on June 1, 2011. The Committee on Periodic Review Reports convenes in October. At its November meeting, the Commission will review the institutional recommendations made by the PRR Committee. The Commission will then communicate its final accreditation decision to the College via letter, stating the precise action it has taken.
The next Self Study Evaluation is scheduled for 2015-2016.
