Technology

Training

Welcome to the ETS Technology Training Program! Our goal is to help you keep pace with changing technology, reduce frustration and become more productive in your work.

The ETS Technology Training Program offers many different development activities designed to provide opportunities for professional growth to every employee of the college community. Offerings fall into the following categories:

“Just in Time” Training Sessions we have restructured our catalog to make it as convenient as possible for you. We no longer include a set schedule of times for training sessions.  Browse through the catalog, highlight the topics you would like to learn within each track, then contact the trainer listed in the track description.  It is that simple!  From there, we will schedule your training choices at a time convenient for you.

Brown Bag Lunch Sessions:  Educational Technology Services offers a series of Brown Bag Lunch Sessions during college hour every fall and spring semester. These sessions present a variety of technology topics in a format that combines some presentation with lots of Q&A.  Be sure to look in the MCC Daily Tribune or on the Brown Bag Lunch Sessions web page each month for information.

Techno Nuggets: Each one-hour session is designed to teach you a specific skill in a hands-on format.  You may request a techno nugget any time throughout the year by contacting the trainer listed in the catalog.  We also schedule a conference-style, week long Techno Nugget event in January and June.  These events are a great opportunity to brush up on your PC software skills.  The event is announced in the MCC Daily Tribune and registration is required.

Training Assessment, Consultation and Support:  Set up individualized appointments with a member of our ETS Training Team.  We can act as your personal consultant to guide you through the most efficient use of technology in your work place.  We can also asses your personal computer skill level and make recommendations as to the best training path to meet your needs.
