Things to keep in mind... (when composing a web
page)

HTML
- Be careful of using non-standard HTML codes
- Design Goals
- Content over glitz!
- Consistency
- common graphic elements
- seamlessness
- Include the following on your pages
- Include a link to a local home page
- Sign and time-stamp each document
- Time and date last updated
- Use "September 30, 1996" not "9/30/96"
- Use Mailto: option for e-mail addresses
- General Comments
- Make it practical and informative in printed form
- Taking advantage of prose (create links in text rather then
just creating lists)
- Avoid meaningless link text
- "Click Here to …"
- Use outlining to keep it organized
- Use H1, H2, etc.
- Graphics
- Use graphics but use them carefully
- Minimize size! (50k-80k a page maximum)
