Paramedic Program Director/Certified Instructor Coordinator
Peter Bonadonna, EMT-P has been certified as a NYS EMT since 1978 and a Paramedic since 1982. He has
26 years of full-time experience in urban/metropolitan EMS, working in Buffalo and then in
Rochester, NY. Peter is also active in the volunteer sector. He has served 20 years as a Paramedic
and Deputy Chief Paramedic for Wayne County Medic 88. Peter is currently the Administrative Chief
Paramedic at Monroe Ambulance, a proprietary ambulance service, in Rochester, New York. Peter has been
teaching advanced EMTs in the Rochester region since 1984. He has been recognized by the
American Heart Association, NYS Department of Health Educator of Excellence Award, The Safety
Council of Rochester, and he is the only non-nurse to be honored by the Emergency Nurses
Association for his work in EMS and teaching. In January 2001, Peter was awarded a Citation of
Valor by the Greece Police Department Benevolent Association for his assistance in the care of an
injured police officer. Peter is a member of the National Association of EMS Educators and has additional certifications including Marriott's Cardiology, Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Certified EECP Therapist, Certified MICP, ACLS and BTLS Instructor.

Paramedic Program Assistant Director/Certified Instructor Coordinator
Bob Breese, EMT-P started his EMS career in the military in 1976. He became one of the first
paramedics in the state of Georgia. Bob has achieved instructor certification in ACLS, BTLS,
PALS and is a subject lecturer for ATLS. Bob has served in diverse EMS regions including
military, aeroevacuation, rural and urban. Bob is a licensed pilot and he is certified as a Flight Paramedic. Bob serves as a Flight Paramedic for Mercy Flight. He is also Regional Faculty for the NYS DOH. He has been a member of the MCC PSTC faculty since
1987 and is the EMS director for Xerox Corporation. Bob's responsibilites include
management of the EMT-P refresher programs. He developed and instituted the first and only Online EMT-P Refresher course in the country.
He is the main instructor for pharmacology, toxicology and
industrial medicine in the Paramedic Original training course. Bob is a Charter Member of the National Association of EMS Educators and is the President and contributing editor of a new website called Prehospital Perspective. dead link Bob also teaches various courses in EMS including ACLS, BTLS, MICP (for CCT). Bob has won numberous awards including honors from the Rochester Safety Council and recently he was honored with the Monroe-Livingston Regional Council's Educator of Excellence Award.

Faculty
Sharon Chiumento, BSN, EMT-P joined the Paramedic Program faculty in 1993 after graduating
from the program with high honors. Sharon has many years experience as a registered nurse
having received her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Rochester. She has worked in
various areas, particularly in pediatrics and research. Sharon is an active Paramedic with
a busy volunteer ambulance corp. Sharon regularly responds to, and treats, emergencies in
the field. She is also the Quality Assurance Coordinator for our EMS system. Sharon fulfills
many roles in the Paramedic program from teaching to student support. Medical Documentation and Pediatric Education are her fortes. Because of Sharon's dual role as QA/QI
Coordinator and Paramedic educator, she helps guide the curriculum by providing dynamic feedback from the
field. Sharon is currently the Chairperson of the Training Committee of our Regional EMS
Council.

Faculty
Bruce Lee, PA, EMT-P and Carol Lee, NP, EMT-P work full time in a medical center
providing primary care to patients. They are also graduates of the MCC Paramedic
Program. They teach 12 lead EKG Intrepretation for Paramedics and health care
professionals. They are also lab Instructors for physical exam and other
advanced skills. In addition to their teaching responsibilities, Bruce and Carol
volunteer their time responding to emergencies in Wayne County with Medic 88, an
Advanced Life Support Flycar.

Senior Technical Assistant
Karen Wilson is likely to be the first person you talk to when contacting MCC's Paramedic
Program. Her areas of responsibility are: general program operational support, including reservation
and registration procedures; customer relations; preparation
of instructional materials; physical files and database record maintenance. She joined the
staff in 1984.

Technical Assistant
Anita is the newest member of the MCC Paramedic Program. Anita coordinates the NYS Practical Skills Exams for the EMT programs and also provides needs analysis, and research for the Paramedic Program. She develops methods of student and program evaluation for the Paramedic Program which is required for accreditation. Anita holds an Associates Degree in Human Services, a Bachelors of Science Degree and a Master Degree of Social Work. Anita joined the PSTC in 2003.
