MCC is proud to achieve this accreditation as it reflects
our strong commitment to our students and to the community.
Paramedic Program Accreditation is a status of public
recognition and is granted to only the finest programs who
meet or exceed rigorous standards.
MCC is only the fourth Paramedic Program in New York State
to earn this title (out of 24 Programs) and is the only
accredited program west of Syracuse.
Currently only 20% of all paramedic programs across the
United States have earned this accreditation.
I would like to thank Dan Labowitz, JD, EMT-P (our County
EMS Coordinator) who graciously encouraged, supported and
funded this project; Margie Pfuntner, EMT-P (Program side
Clinical Coordinator) for countless hours of work on
development, documentation and submission to the committee;
and to Melissa Brokaw, MD who directed our efforts and whose
high standards made our program quality education.
