Students who wish to complete
prerequisites that are not listed should confirm with the MCC Admissions
Office, prior to enrolling, that the course(s) meet the entrance requirements.
It is recommended that high school
students applying directly from high school (current high school seniors)
have a minimum overall average of 85.
Through
clinical placements students have opportunities to work with the most
modern and specialized equipment available.
Clinical
education is assigned on a rotating basis to provide experiences consistent
with the student's level of achievement in three different hospital
environments: a large university medical center, a general acute care
hospital, and a small community hospital.
Assignments
range from 8 to 12 clinical hours per week during the first year of study
and 24 clinical hours per week the second year. A seven-week (40 hours
per week) summer session provides valuable experience in developing clinical
competency skills. MCC is affiliated with the following institutions:
Highland Hospital
Ide Group, P.C.
Newark-Wayne Community Hospital
Unity Hospital-Park Ridge Campus
Rochester General Hospital
