The beds in the Alice
Holloway Young Commons are offered based on the date and time you apply
for housing therefore it is important to review the process and apply
on the recommended dates. The application and payment are required in order to be considered for housing.

Application Process for 2012-2013
- January 2012 new applicants express Housing Interest here to ensure access the the application in March.
- February 1, 2012 is the recommended date for new students to apply for Admission to Monroe Community College to ensure access to the housing application. High demand program applicants will be notified of acceptance prior to the housing application release.
- March 15, 2012 is the target date to apply for Financial Aid to ensure aid is in place for the academic year.
- March 13, 2012 the Housing Application will be avaialable at 8 a.m. Students can access the application through the Student Records link available at https://secure.monroecc.edu/pls/bpr1/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin
- A $200 housing application deposit is required in order to activate the application. Payment can be made through the PayPal link available through the Housing and Residence Life web pages or mailed AFTER submitting the application to:

Checks should be made payable to the MCC Association, Inc. and should include the student name and ID on all submitted payments. Students are encouraged to submit an application even if the fee is not available at the time of the application submission.
- Applications will not be processed until payment has been received. Deferrals are not available. Beds will be offered for the Alice Holloway Young Commons based on the date and time the Web Application is submitted. The application fee activates the application.
- The application fee will become a security deposit when a bed in the Alice Holloway Young Commons is offered and accepted. A written request for the refund of the application fee can be made if a bed is not received.
- The application fee/ security deposit is not applied to the housing charges.
*Applicants will be notified of their housing status by April 15, 2012 if the application was submitted and paid prior to April 1, 2012*
Housing Agreement Option:
Housing Application/Agreement 2012-2013: The housing agreement will be binding for the academic year. Students requesting to terminate the contractual obligation MUST notify the Housing office by 12/1/12. Failure to notify the Housing office will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and the student may incur housing charges for the spring semester based on occupancy.
Anticipated Housing Costs for 2012-2013
Updated rates will be published by March 1, 2012
Single Room:
$3,400.00 per semester or $6,800.00 for the academic year
Double Room:
$3,000.00 per semester or $6,000.00 for the academic year

Single Room: $550.00 (Dependent on course duration)
Housing NelNet Payment Plan
Fall Semester: 50% due July 15 and 50% due August 15
Spring Semester: 50% due December 15 and 50% due January 15
Offers will be sent to the MCC email account and the address on the applicants student account.
Applicants who fail to reply by the published deadline will forfeit the application fee and bed.
