Service Project (SVL 101-CC1):
In this seminar, students have the opportunity to partner with the Rochester-Monroe County Freedom Trail Commission, a sponsor of the Frederick Douglass International Underground Railroad Conference which will be held Sept. 28-30, 2007 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Students will develop a display on the history of the Underground Railroad and assist the Rochester-Monroe County Freedom Trail Commission in preparing for the conference.
Students also have the option of designing their own individual service-learning projects, working 135 hours over the summer session with a community agency of their choice.

In this seminar students have the opportunity to partner with the Rotary Club and work at the Rochester LPGA and Camp Haccamo. The Rochester LPGA is a major fundraiser for Camp Haccamo, an overnight camp for children ages 7-17 and young adults ages 18-28 with developmental and other disabilities.
Students also have the option of designing their own individual service-learning projects, working 135 hours over the summer session with a community agency of their choice.
