BUS 104 - Introduction to Business

An introductory study of business including organizational forms, the function of production, finance, marketing and human resources. Additional topics will be environmental factors which impact business such as government business ethics and current business issues. Three class hours.

Service Project (BUS 104-025):

Students in this course will complete a SWOT Analysis. The identity of the client will be announced by the professor. (10 hours) F-07

BUS 204 - Management: Theory and Practice

A study of the theories and practices that are used in the organization and management of profit and non-profit business and institutions. Topics will include planning, decision making, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling. Three class hours.

3 Credits

Prerequisite: BUS 104 with a grade of C or higher.

Course Offered Fall and Spring

Service Project (BUS 204 -003):

Students will work on a real service project for the MCC library focusing on the library’s website. Students will collaborate with the Educational Technologies Services Department and the Library to make recommendation for change incorporating the College’s guidelines and student needs.
