BUS 104 - Introduction to Business

An introductory study of business including organizational forms, the function of production, finance, marketing and human resources. Additional topics will be environmental factors which impact business such as government business ethics and current business issues. Three class hours.

Service Project (BUS 104-002, 004):

Service Project (BUS 104-008):
Students will be partnering with the American Cancer Society to evaluate their marketing and recruitment strategies for volunteers.  The focus will be on the program that needs drivers for patients receiving chemotherapy.  (20 hours) S-10

Service Project (BUS 104-019):

Students will be partnering with MCC’s Applied Tech Center to research how the Green Economy movement is going to affect the curriculum and training needs of the students who attend the technical education and industry based training programs.  Students present findings and make recommendations to the Applied Technical Center faculty/staff. (20 hours) S-10
