The Snowball Scholarship for Service-Learning

Background

The Snowball Scholarship for Service-Learning was established at Monroe Community College in 2007 by Mary and John Seebach.  The goal of the scholarship is to recognize good character and promote community engagement.

Scholarship Award

The Snowball Scholarship for Service-Learning will award $1,500 annually and may be awarded to one or more students.  The scholarship award is applicable toward the fall semester at Monroe Community College.

Scholarship Criteria

Preference will be given to Joseph C. Wilson Magnet graduates. 
Scholarship applicants must:

  1. be a second year full-time student (for the following fall term) participating in the service-learning program with at least one service-learning course completed and plans to complete the required 200 hours for the service-learning diploma distinction;
  2. demonstrate financial need;
  3. have a minimum GPA of 2.5
