The New Student Orientation program helps new students and their guests in the transition to the Brighton Campus of Monroe Community College.
We include specialized sessions for our guests. Guests can be any family members or friends, who are supportive to the student in their collegiate experience. Our Peer Mentors will address important issues with the guests.
Students can choose to attend any of our Orientations; however, we have developed specialized Orientations for specific groups to provide them with the opportunity to interact with staff that will be working specifically with that population throughout the year.
A specialized session was created by Amy Greer, Director of Housing and Residence Life, to inform students and guests about specific policies and procedures relating to the residence halls. For additional information please visit, Housing and Residence Life.
Bill Sigismond, Director of Experiential and Adult Learning, and Betty Smith, Counselor, in the Counseling and Advising Center, will facilitate a special session for returning adults and their guests.
This Orientation will provide athletes the opportunity to interact with other student athletes and also meet with the coach of their respective teams.
