Appeals of the dismissal of a formal complaint through the Title IX Grievance Process and Appeals of Disciplinary Sanctions are submitted through this form.

Grounds for Appeal

According to the Student Code of Conduct, a student's written appeal must contain the reason for the appeal. Appeals must meet one of three criteria:

1. Procedural irregularity that affected the outcome of the matter (i.e. a failure to follow the college's own procedures).

2. To consider new evidence, unavailable during the original hearing or investigation, that could substantially impact the original finding or sanction. A summary of this new evidence and potential impact must be included.

3. The sanctions imposed are substantially disproportionate to the severity of the violation.

4. The Title IX Coordinator, investigator(s), or decision-makers had a conflict of interest or bias for or against an individual party, or for or against complainants or respondents in general, that affected the outcome of this matter.
