Q May I get an X-ray exam at Health Services?
A No, we do not have that capability. If an X-ray is needed, we will refer you to your own doctor, clinic or area emergency room as needed.
   
Q I need weekly allergy shots, my doctor says I can get them at my College Health Service, can I?
A We do not give allergy shots at Health Services. Health Services does not provide primary care.
   
Q May I get my birth control pills at Health Services?
A We do not perform GYN exams, nor do we prescribe birth control pills. We will refer you to your own doctor or an appropriate Health Care Facility.
   
Q I think I have a sexually transmitted disease (STD). Where should I go for care?
A Health Services will refer you to your own doctor, Monroe County Health Department or an appropriate health facility.
   
Q Where can I go for low-cost medical care?
A Check out our listings of on-campus and off-campus medical resources.
   
Q Does Health Services do any lab testing?

A We do not do diagnostic testing here. The Nurse Practitioner can order blood work or other tests to be done at a lab and the student will be responsible for the fees associated with the lab work.
   
Q Do you do medical withdrawals from school?
A No, we do not do medical withdrawals from school. If you have been away from classes, or are going to be, out for two weeks or more, and we receive a note from your doctor, we can notify your professors. Total withdrawal from classes must be handled by students individually.
