The Health Services Department's mission is to assist students to meet their educational goals by promoting wellness.  The term "wellness" refers to everything related to your physical and mental well-being.  It includes illness management and first aid, as well as education on nutrition, exercise, and good health habits.  Whenever you have a question or concern about your health, please contact Health Services.  Health Services also has a mailbox where you can ask questions via e-mail.

For the best possible service, please note the following information:

  • Unless it is an emergency, all students are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • The nurse practitioner can be seen by appointment only. Your first visit will be with the nurse to be sure it is appropriate for the nurse practitioner to see you.
  • Health Services does not provide primary care.
  • Immunizations (MMR) are given on demand Mon.-Fri. from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. only
Confidentiality: Your medical care and counseling at Monroe Community College Health Services are confidential. Health care records are kept separately from academic records. We do not release information outside of Monroe Community College without your written permission, except upon a court order, as required by law (as in the case of certain communicable diseases and reports of child abuse), or as required, in our judgment, to protect you or others from immediate physical danger.
