International Students

As you may know, the healthcare system in the United States is very different from other countries. There are many types of treatment, and it may be difficult to understand the healthcare system.

The staff in Health Services are available to assist you in answering questions about your health or how to seek help from community treatment centers. There is no cost for students to visit Health Services. We are located in Building 3–165, and are open from 8:45 am–4:45 pm. Please visit or call 585-292-2018 to set up an appointment to meet with a Nurse.

Insurance Information

In the United States, it is necessary to purchase domestic health insurance in order to receive the best care when you are sick or injured. International students who are here on an F1 visa are required to have accident and illness insurance coverage in the United States. It will automatically be billed to your tuition bill. If you do not see the charge on your bill please contact the Student Accounts office for assistance. If you currently have health insurance coverage in the United States and you need to waive the new policy, you can complete the International Students Waiver Form (please note there are specific deadlines for the waivers to be submitted by). If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Angela French at Allen J. Flood Companies, Inc. at 800-734-9326 x225.

For more information on International Students please visit the International Student webpage.
