MCC Health Services welcomes all international students to the college and the community! As you may know, the healthcare system in the United States is very different from other countries. There are many types of treatment, and it may be difficult to understand the healthcare system.

The staff in Health Services are available to assist you in answering questions about your health, or how to seek help from community treatment centers. There is no cost for students to visit Health Services. We are located in Building 3-165, and are open from 8:45-4:45. Please visit or call 585-292-2018 for information.

In the United States, it is necessary to purchase health insurance in order to receive the best care when you are sick or injured. International students who are here on an F1 visa are required to have accident and illness insurance. The cost of the insurance is added to your student bill. The plan includes partial coverage for doctor and dentist visits, tests, and medications. Insurance is also available for dependents of students.

Those students who are not here on an F1 visa, and want to purchase insurance should refer to the insurance information plan on the Health Services web site. You can call the insurance company directly at the toll-free number 1-800-444-5530 if you have any questions.
