What is the purpose of BEAT?
BEAT meets weekly to address concerns about the physical, emotional and behavioral well-being or safety of an MCC student or community
member, including (but not limited to):
• unusual patterns of behavior
• disruptive patterns of behavior
• academic/personal difficulties that impede a student’s ability to navigate the academic environment in a safe and healthy manner.
Referrals to Student Services should never be considered in an emergency. In an emergency, contact Monroe Community College Public Safety at 585-292-2911 and/or the appropriate emergency services (Dial 911) immediately.
How do I contact Student Services?
Call 585-292-2122 to contact Student Services with your questions or concerns and contact information/preferences. You may also email firstname.lastname@example.org. A team member will contact you usually by the next business day. Faculty/staff may also complete the Behavioral Incident Report (BIR) Form.
In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the information shared on BIR is viewed only by individuals who have a need to know.
