This event enables high school students to test their skills and knowledge in our well-equipped facility. The winner receives a full-time scholarship for one semester to MCC's Precision Machining Program.
At previous events, lunch was provided by the Rochester Technology & Manufacturing Association and several area tool distributors donated prized for all contestants.
The 2005 competition was held on May 6. Dates and times for future competitive events will be posted as they become available.
Sponsored by the National Tooling and Machining Association and its local chapter, Rochester Technology and Manufacturing Association (RTMA), the competition tests the knowledge and skills of senior-year apprentices while promoting training programs and career opportunities in the metal-working industry. A winner from each regional competition is invited to represent his or her chapter in the NTMA Annual National Apprentice Competition.
Dates and times for future competitive events will be posted as they become available.
