What is the difference between COS 101 and COS 133?

COS 101, College Orientation Seminar, is a one-credit college course. It typically meets for half a semester and provides a quick survey of basic college orientation topics.

COS 133, Introduction to College Studies, is a three-credit college course. The curriculum is more extensive and comprehensive. COS 133 is offered as a traditional, online, and hybrid (classroom and online) course.

Can a student take both COS 101 and COS 133 for credit?

No, a student cannot take both COS 101 and COS 133 for credit.

The MCC Policy states that a student who earns credit for COS 101 cannot take COS 133 at a later date and earn credit.

Similarly, a student who earns credit for COS 133 cannot take COS 101 at a later date and earn credit.
