College Orientation Seminar is the smart way to start a successful college career. This course will help address questions and concerns you may have as you begin college. You will gain a solid understanding of how to make the most out of the resources available to you at Monroe Community College as well as gain a better idea of what to expect during your time here.

The assignments and activities in this course are designed to assist you in making a successful transition to college life. You will start the course learning about your goals for college and developing strategies that you can use to manage your time successfully to accomplish those goals. You will learn how you learn best, so that you can demonstrate your knowledge on college tests. To make sure you know what is expected to earn a college degree, you will learn about the college’s specialized vocabulary, campus culture, college policies and academic requirements. You will also learn about the college campus so that you can make the most of the excellent resources and wonderful opportunities available for students at MCC.
