for Area High School Students

Upward Bound is a federally-funded comprehensive program that provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college.

This free program offers opportunities for participants to succeed in pre-college performance and ultimately in higher education.

 

Upward Bound provides each participant with:

mortarboard button   Transportation
mortarboard button   Fee waivers for college applications and standardized tests
mortarboard button   A monthly stipend based on participation

Eligibility Requirements:

Prospective students must come from a household where:
  • Parents/guardians do not have a four-year college degree
  • Parents/guardians meet Federal Low Income Level Guidelines


    • Prospective students:
  • Must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA
  • Must be a student in an area high school
