Our introductory courses in mass media are required for all students in the communication degree program, with good reason.

COM 101 and 102 are the foundation courses for what the media industries are about. You'll learn the ways the entertainment and information media work and how they affect us. You'll also get a feel for where you might fit best in the communication field. Studying media is more than computer screens, digital images and special effects. The real essence of the business, craft, art, and profession is in the minds that dream up what we shall see, hear and feel.
