Art 205: Commercial Illustration I and Art 206: Commercial Illustration II are two great courses that work well incorporating computers as another tool to create these illustration projects. The courses include guest lectures/workshops and off-campus field trips to local design studios and artist studios. Each spring these students are offered an opportunity to take part in the annual New York City Trip to visit the Society of Illustrators and the many other art galleries in Manhattan. This further develops the students' understanding of real world artist forum and employment opportunities. The commercial illustrators exhibit their work as part of the Annual Student Art Exhibition in the Mercer Gallery each year, May through September.
