National Poetry Month Celebration

The month of April has been designated National Poetry Month and is celebrated in various ways across the country. Monroe Community College’s Writing Center recognizes and celebrates the occasion by hosting one or more special events in the Center. In the past, we have held various poetry writing workshops, readings by faculty and students of their poems, readings by local and national poets, and we also feature poets in our book display case.
